Bummer, but not your grade for that particular student!
It is one thing to have administration change what “is is”
(redefine passing from 62.5 to 60)
BUT this student didn’t even earn the 60%.
It was rounded (cough) up.
Well, I guess that means re-tooling the grading system so that students can’t really get a grade between 58 and 65%. That’s what I would do.
Of course, my response, hollow as it is, would be … oh, well, I guess if there’s no D-, 60 must be an F.
