IbnTulun -- We are now within the mosque. This is an interesting shot (or so I think anyway). I am dead center in the middle of an archway. Notice that the points of the arches do not align and that the window is not dead center. This was done to create the sense of motion. It is also not a trick of the lens or perspective that each arch seems to step in from the last. This is to provide an unobstructed view, no matter where you stand.
