We are going to spend a few days in Jordan.
We are flying to Amman, then busing/taxi-ing to Petra for 3 nights.
Then off to a jeep/camel/hike trip in Wadi Rum for a couple of nights.
Then the Dead Sea for a day or so.
Then back to Amman for a day or so.
So, at least we have an excuse for a week or so for not updating the blogs 🙂

Jack and KD are away, so I have a story to tell. Beth and I went to visit Jack and KD. http://flash412pix.home.comcast.net/CairoMonkey.JPG Among other things, we brought them pork products. I also gave Jack a BACON wallet from Archie McPhee. AMcPh also sells… bacon air fresheners. Before we left, I popped them out of their wrappers and hid them around his office. Close friends know that KD has no sense of smell.
I OFFERED to give them the swag we muled to them for FREE in exchange for no more wet willies for either of us, ever. They both said NFW. Sitting in the front seat of a taxi on the way to the Hanukah Lei Lei market, Jack was the recipient of a wet willie. The taxi driver thought it was a hoot. I started trying for a repeat. But Jack saw the driver egging me on and dodged. Ahh… good times, good times.
I’m jealous! I’ve wanted to visit Petra for years. For now I’ll have to live vicariously through J&K. Come back safe and sound with lots of pictures!!
